“Resolution Together” is a way of working that allows lawyers to work with, and advise couples jointly, through a divorce or separation, on financial and/or child arrangements.
Sally Ward, Samantha Chase and Anna Cross have all undergone training in this new approach, which follows the introduction of no-fault divorces and the change in divorce law that allows couples to make joint divorce applications. It also provides another option for negotiating a settlement without going to court, something that all couples are now required to attempt since new court rules were introduced in May 2024, requiring couples to try to resolve their differences out of court.
Resolution Together is suitable for couples wanting to avoid unnecessary conflict and where there are no safeguarding concerns.
You and your partner agree that you wish to work with one solicitor who will provide you with all the help and assistance you need to reach an agreement together. They will provide you with legal advice jointly, which focusses on the best interests of the family, rather than either one of you ‘winning’ over the other, to the detriment of the family as a whole. Your solicitor will, however, if you need or want individual advice of any kind, advise on the best way to organise that. They will assist you together to reach an outcome and will also be able to help you record your decisions in an appropriate and legally binding way.
Your solicitor will help you design the service you need; they can help you in arranging other professionals to provide support or advice you may need in a team approach. That might include financial advisers/neutrals, family consultants/coaches, barristers who can provide an early neutral evaluation of your situation and arbitrators who can provide a binding outcome if and when you need it.

Please contact Sally Ward, Samantha Chase or Anna Cross to find out more about how we may be able to help you.
