Madeleine Oakley

Madeleine is a solicitor in the Employment team, advising employers and employees on a wide range of workplace issues. She assists with matters including disciplinary and grievance processes, discrimination claims, and settlement agreements.

Madeleine qualified as a solicitor in 2020, initially practising in criminal defence where she regularly appeared in court and managed complex cases. This experience honed her ability to communicate effectively and persuasively to deliver practical solutions under pressure. Madeleine now specialises in employment law. She advises employers and employees on a wide range of matters. Her approach is client-focused, ensuring advice is clear, pragmatic, and aligned with each client’s objectives.

Madeleine is known for her practical and commercially minded advice, helping clients achieve solutions that minimise risk while supporting their broader business objectives. She takes a collaborative and client-focused approach to every matter. Madeleine prioritises clear communication and transparency, ensuring clients feel informed and supported throughout the process.

Madeleine studied LLB Law at the University of Reading and graduated with a 2:1 classification in 2016. Madeleine went on to study the Legal Practice Course and combined Master in Laws at BPP University in Cambridge whilst working at a large regional law firm. She graduated from BPP University in 2020 with distinction. Madeleine completed her training contract and qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales in October 2020.
