November is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month and in the Family Law Team we often see clients struggling with their mental health. Going through separation, issues with your ex-partner, the uncertainty of how finances will be resolved, and not seeing your children as much as you would like can all be extremely challenging.

The Family Team at Ellisons will assist clients with providing legal advice however, we will also signpost clients to seek additional help where needed and have open discussions about how important protecting your mental health is.

We may suggest support through your GP, counselling and other support groups. It is so important that clients are aware of the places they can go to seek help. It is also important for clients to try to speak with friends and family so they can rely on their own support network.
