- Insolvency and Debt Recovery
Tracy is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution team at Ellisons, based in Colchester.
Having qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2012, Tracy went on to study at De Montfort University in Leicester to further qualify as a solicitor in 2019.
Tracy previously worked for many years in the Dispute Resolution and Insolvency teams of a large local firm of solicitors and having headed up a litigation team, she joined Ellisons to focus on her work within the specialist Insolvency and Debt Recovery team where she acts for insolvency practitioners, private companies, individuals, accountants and lenders
Tracy continues to work on numerous complex and high-value litigation cases, including advising on claims against opponents with a value in excess of £1M.
Areas of Specialism
- Corporate insolvency, advising on winding up petitions, creditors’ voluntary liquidations, company administration and antecedent transactions
- Personal insolvency, advising on bankruptcy petitions and annulment of bankruptcy orders as well as antecedent transactions
- Debt recovery, acting for both claimant and defendant advising on debt recovery and enforcement matters
- Commercial disputes in an insolvency context including contractual and shareholder disputes
- Advising directors on personal guarantees
- Advising liquidators and directors on breaches of director’s duties
Outside the office
Tracy enjoys a challenging jigsaw puzzle, eating out and holidays as well as spending time with her young grandson. She is also a trustee of Colchester Medical Charitable Trust.
