Carla Jones

Carla is a Partner and Head of Commercial Litigation at Ellisons. Based in Chelmsford, she has extensive experience in handling complex and high value commercial disputes including matters involving breach of contract, breach of restrictive covenants and confidence, civil fraud, and breach of directors’ duties.

Carla is a highly experienced Commercial Litigation solicitor with over a decade of expertise advising UK-based and international clients across a wide range of sectors including professional services, finance, manufacturing, technology, property, and healthcare. Carla also has extensive experience handling shareholder and partnership disputes, professional negligence claims, and defamation cases.

Recognised by The Legal 500, Carla previously led a team of “robust litigators” at a large regional firm, cementing her reputation for delivering results in high-stakes litigation.

Carla completed the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the College of Law, now known as the University of Law, after earning a 2:1 degree in History from King’s College London in 2008. She undertook her training contract with a Chelmsford-based firm and qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales in 2013.
