Every year, countless children from across Essex and beyond, go without at Christmas. As families struggle to keep warm and put food on the table, presents are rarely on the priority list.
Essex County Council Children in Care Team, work tirelessly all year to support thousands of families that often slip under the radar. This Christmas, the colleagues at Ellisons Solicitors decided to do their bit and support Essex County Council and put a smile on the faces of as many of these children as they could.
A call for aid was send to many of our values business friends, who to be honest went above and beyond, delivering dozens and dozens of bags and boxes to our Chelmsford office.
We were so overwhelmed by people’s generosity, that over two van loads of toys, games, books and magazines have now been delivered to Essex County Council ready for their Social Workers to deliver to needy children whilst out on their rounds.
We cannot thank everyone enough for their heart felt generosity. Businesses and individuals alike have proved that a simple act of kindness can really make a child smile….
