Immigration services: costs and service information
This information explains our likely legal fees for preparing and submitting immigration applications (excluding asylum applications). It is intended as a guide for a typical matter. We will confirm the scope of work and provide a written, matter-specific quote before you instruct us.

Initial consultation: Sohan Sidhu offers an initial 1-hour consultation for a fixed fee of £275 excluding VAT.
Estimated legal fees for application work
The ranges below are estimates for our legal work on a typical application made by one main applicant with straightforward circumstances, complete supporting evidence, no previous refusal or adverse immigration history, and no need for an appeal, review, hearing or urgent work. The final fee depends on the information provided, the scope of the retainer and the complexity of the matter. We will provide a personalised quotation after an initial assessment.

Third-party costs and disbursements
Third-party costs are separate from our legal fees and are usually paid in advance. Depending on the route and your circumstances, they may include the Home Office application fees, Immigration Health Surcharge, biometric or identity services, English-language testing, tuberculosis testing, the Life in the UK Test, translations, expert evidence, an endorsement fee, a Certificate of Sponsorship fee or the Immigration Skills Charge.

Other costs
Typical timescales
In our experience, cases can take anywhere between 4 days and 18 months to be processed depending on the complexity of cases and the timescales set by the Home Office. As a result of this, we will endeavour to provide you with a timescale for completing your application during the initial consultation stage.
