As we celebrate National Apprenticeship Week 2026, we’re proud to shine a light on the journey of one of our former Level 7 apprentices, Evie Todd, who has now progressed into a full‑time role within our Finance Team.

Evie’s apprenticeship journey is a brilliant example of how hands‑on experience, structured learning, and dedicated support can build strong career foundations within professional services.

This month, Evie has personally been invited to and will be attending and speaking at the Parliamentary Apprenticeship Fair on 10 February, representing both Ellisons and the value of apprenticeship pathways both in the legal and accountancy sector. We’re delighted to see her achievements recognised on a national platform.

In Evie’s Own Words

“When I joined Ellisons as a Level 7 apprentice, I never imagined how much I would grow: not just in skills, but in confidence. My route into an apprenticeship wasn’t typical; in fact, I simply asked the question during the interview process. I want to help spread the message that applying for apprenticeships isn’t always as straightforward or traditional as people think.

It isn’t only about attending careers fairs, searching online, or submitting forms. Sometimes, making a genuine connection and showing who you are and what you can bring can be just as powerful.

I was very fortunate, and it made a huge difference that one of Ellisons’ core values is ‘we recruit, develop and support talented individuals. That value shaped my journey from day one and helped me build a career I’m genuinely proud of.”

A Pathway That Opens Doors

During her apprenticeship, Evie developed core technical and professional skills, gained practical exposure across the business, and contributed to key finance processes within the firm. Her hard work and commitment led to a seamless transition into a permanent role within the Finance Team.

Ellisons is committed to supporting talent through alternative routes into the legal profession. Apprenticeships play a vital role in helping us nurture people who bring enthusiasm, new perspectives, and long‑term potential.
