Ellisons represented a claimant who was left with multiple and serious injuries following an assault in Colchester, Essex helping them to recover a six-figure sum in compensation.
The claimant suffered multiple injuries causing loss of consciousness, which included a mild traumatic brain injury, fracture to the right lower orbital, extensive bruising and lacerations to his head and face, nerve damage to teeth which required extensive dental treatment over many months and post traumatic stress disorder symptoms (PTSD) including anxiety, low mood and loss of confidence.
The Claimant had to endure not only a civil case but also a criminal case, involving the prosecution of the Defendants involved. Ellisons were able to secure the services of a case manager, funded by the Defendant’s insurers at an early stage to fund the rehabilitation that was urgently required. Despite the Claimant’s committed efforts to engage with the rehabilitation treatment, they will be left with some ongoing residual symptoms.
